SHILLONG: Youth Congress leader Richard Marak on Saturday accused the BJP and the regional parties of trying to divide the people of the State.
Marak was speaking at the executive meeting of the Mawhati Assembly Youth Congress in Nongjri, Ri Bhoi on Saturday.
Marak added that Meghalaya was making steady progress under the Congress-led MUA government and the party is optimistic of coming back to power in the State.
“The Congress Government is delivering more than what was promised in its manifesto. We will unite, while BJP and the regional party partners try to divide the people,” he said.
“We need to save the nation from divisive forces and the preachers of hatred,” Marak said adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not kept any of his poll promises.
