SHILLONG: Shillong Muslim Community has requested the MeECL to cease load shedding and provide uninterrupted power supply on May 11 for the undisturbed celebration of their festival, Shab-e-Baraat.
In a statement issued here, the Muslim community said that the celebration is celebrated with night prayers in the Masjid, graveyards and their homes.
It may be noted that frequent power interruptions have irked certain residents of the city as their children are preparing for different examinations.
