Inter-School Debate Competition held

SHILLONG: Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School had organised the 14th Inter-School Debate Competition on Friday.
The topic of debate was ‘Demonetisation is a necessary evil India could not do without.’
Altogether eleven schools from Shillong had participated in the competition. The champion’s trophy was bagged by Barijuban Sohliya from St. Edmunds’ School, Nobeena Chakraborty from BSF Senior Secondary School was adjudged the 1st runner up and the second runner’s up position went to Suryaditya Sharma Roy from Army Public School.
Former Vice-Chancellor from Assam University, Jayanta Bharttarcharjee was the chief guest of the occasion.
