MBoSE gets award for online services

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE), on the occasion of National Technology Day on May 11, was awarded the fourth place among the top 10 Futuristic School Board of India, 2017, by ‘re:think India’ at India International Centre, New Delhi.
The award was conferred to the Board for the online services provided to the society via website.
A statement issued by MBoSE Executive Chairman Pravin Bakshi said on Saturday that it had introduced declaring result only online through websites and via SMS services. MBoSE also introduced online registration of students for Class IX and Class XI along with a mode of online payment of registration fees.
MBoSE further introduced the use of QR quote in the online generated mark sheet for SSLC and HSSLC results this year. Online generated mark sheets can be verified by scanning the QR quote printed on the mark sheet for authenticity, the statement said.
MBoSE has also launched MBoSE App where all the important information is available and can be downloaded from Google PlayStore for free. MBoSE app is equipped with the QR quote scanner to check the mark sheet generated online for authenticity. The board has also been sharing information with the registered Institutes with the help of SMS service, Bakshi added.
