SHILLONG: Perturbed by the alleged harassment by School Managing Committees, the All Meghalaya SSA School Teachers’ Association (AMSSASTA), South West Khasi Hills has urged the SSA teachers to come forward and air their grievances.
In a press statement, the AMSSASTA also asked SMCs not to remove the names of the teachers from Unified District Information System for Education (UDISE).
AMSSASTA, SWKH president Berding Lyngdoh alleged that SMCs harass teachers without any valid reason and urged fellow SSA colleagues to approach the organisation in case of any grievance.
He also alleged that some SMCs do not pay the teachers’ salary through their personal accounts while some teachers are forced to sign an agreement for a cut on their salary.
