Sawkmie seeks SC intervention

SHILLONG: Mawlai MDC PT Sawkmie has urged the Supreme Court to step in and stay the notification made by the BJP-led government at the Centre to ban the slaughter and sale of cows in open market. The decision made by the Central government is against the interest of the people, said Sawkmie in a statement issued on Sunday.
