Citizens’ committee meets post rail attack

SHILLONG: In view of arson cases being reported in the city, the Sadar Police Station on Wednesday organised a Citizens committee meeting.
The meeting was participated by various head of localities of Shillong, shopkeepers, young people and the hawkers association.
All the headmen who attended the meeting spoke and shared their views and concerns emanating from the railway issue in Ri-Bhoi.
Melamshwa Allya, a law student from NEHU shared the ground realities of various defamatory messages which are doing the rounds in social network and urge the public to avoid sending these messages which might disrupt peace and tranquility in the city.
The meeting was chaired by.D.K.Prasad, Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.
