Ambulance service

Khliehriat MLA Justine Dkhar donated an ambulance to the village dorbar of Tuberkmaishnong in East Jaintia Hills. The ambulance was donated from the MLA Scheme and its service was launched on Saturday.

Cultural event

Rabindranath Tagore Club, Laban, will organise the 10th Inter-Shillong Cultural Event every Sunday from June 25 to July 16. Forms are available at Jyoti Medical Hall, Laban, Pappu Medical, Laban and Friends Communication, Keating Road among others.

Training

As part of its endeavour to improve and promote production of silk in the district, the Department of Sericulture, West Jaintia Hills organised a training at Saitsama village on Saturday. The day-long training programme was attended by farmers from different villages in the area. District Sericulture Officer, A Passah and Scientist Collin C Renthlei among others were the main speakers in the training programme.
