SHILLONG: The newly formed People’s Democratic Forum (PDF) considers it will gain from the confusion arising out of the political situation in the State when it will be fully active with the joining of suspended KHADC chief executive member P.N Syiem from the Congress.
A source close to Syiem said he will join PDF in July and strengthen the party.
The source added that there is confusion over UDP-HSPDP alliance, anti-incumbency of the Congress and BJP which is yet to establish itself in Meghalaya.
“In this context, politicians and youths will look forward to a new party which will provide an alternative to the existing political parties.”
Though PDF is low profile at present in the absence of any political leaders joining the party, sources said many leaders are expected to join the party after July.
PDF is also likely to spell out the vision of the party for Meghalaya in the run-up to the polls shortly.
