AIGU for judicial probe into girl’s suicide

SHILLONG: The All India Garo Union Headquarters in the city has demanded judicial probe into the death of an 18-year-old girl in Tura police station.
The girl was found hanging in the police station toilet on Sunday morning.
“We are shocked at the incident. The Union feels that it is due to the negligence of Tura PS. How is it possible for the girl to hang herself within 10 minutes of her arrival when she is not familiar with the Tura PS toilet,” AIGU president E Marak said.
