Official documents missing from PHE
Some official documents from the PHE office in the city have gone missing. Administrative Officer-cum-Vigilance Officer, Office of Chief Engineer, PHE, Meghalaya lodged a complaint that on June 7, one plastic folder along with some official papers were found missing from the table drawer of Chief Engineer, PHE, Lower Lachumiere.

Women threatened
The headman of Mawmih village has been accused of abusing and threatening a group of women. The women from Mawmih village in East Khasi Hills lodged a complaint that on June 5, Hitarwell Thangkhiew, headman of Mawmih abused and threatened them when they went to his residence to seek headman’s certificate.
