MPUF deliberates on minority issues

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Peoples’ United Front (MPUF) during its central executive committee meeting on June 10 discussed the existing laws for minorities which include Meghalaya Transfer of Land and Regulation Act 1971, Labour Immigrants Act, Work Permit, Tenancy Bill, the proposed railway project and others.
The MPUF decided to write to the State Government on the issue of Land Acquisition Bill and other bills that have affected the minority community in one way or the other.
