TURA: The Garo Students’ Union (GSU), East Zone has written to the East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner demanding the immediate appointment of a full-fledged District transport Officer (DTO) for the district.
Besides the demand for a full-fledged DTO, the Union also sought the installation of an embossing machine in the office to lessen inconvenience faced by those who come for vehicle number plates.
GSU gave the administration seven days to fulfill its demands while warning of agitation if it failed to do so.
