SHILLONG: In a new traffic arrangement in the city, the Office of the Superintendent of Police East Khasi Hills has informed that in view of the opening of the road from Earle Sanatorium near City Hut Dhaba to Little Blossom School near Hotel Polo Towers, the stretch of the road will be open to two-way traffic.
The SP office release added that vehicles coming to Khyndailad from Polo will have to take the Orchid Hotel-CM’s residence route.
“Route from Pegasus Hotel to Magnum Hotel will be made a two-way route. Vehicles  coming from City Hut Dhaba can enter Khyndailad directly from Hotel Pegasus side…There will be no right turn at old High Court junction towards Khyndailad,” the release stated.
“The entire stretch from Hotel Magnum to Hotel Pegasus and the new road will be a ‘no parking zone’ for all kinds of vehicles,” the release said adding that the arrangement is being made on a trial basis.
