Cultural event
Rabindranath Tagore Club, Laban is organising the 10th Inter Shillong Cultural Event. The competition will commence on June 25, with a Rongali competition, Rabindra Sangeet competition, folk song competition and dance on Tagore’s songs competition. The competitions will be held in Bangiya Sahityo Parishad, Jail Road.

Intl Yoga Day
CSR committee of Shillong Expressway Ltd, the concessionaire of Shillong Bypass organised International Yoga Day on June 21 at the ICAR Indoor Sports Club, Umiam, with the assistance of B. Bist, a Yoga Instructor from Art of Living, Shillong, along with co-workers and the children of the SOS Village.

Blood camp
To mark the auspicious Balidan Diwas in the memory of late Dr Syama Prasad Mukharjee, the BJP observed a meeting in the State Office. The party president along with the BJP state leaders and Kariyakartas attended the meeting.

Public holiday
The State Government has declared June 26 as public holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 on account of Id-Ul-Fitre. This was informed by the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, General Administration Department.  

Rath yatra
Shri Shri Jagannath’s Rathajatra will be celebrated on June 25 at Sanatan Dharmasabha (Harisabha) in Laban.
