UDP forms youth wing in West Shillong

SHILLONG: UDP has formed its youth wing unit in West Shillong constituency with eye on the 2018 Assembly elections.
The members were selected at the residence of party MLA Paul Lyngdoh on June 23.
Yosil Mawlein has been named president, Richmond Umdon and Richmond Kharbudon vice presidents and Pynhunlang Kharnarbi general secretary.
Around 200 youths were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Lyngdoh inaugurated a new CC road linking Nongsohphoh locality with the rest of the city on Saturday.
The road was built at a cost of Rs 35 lakh. Lyngdoh termed it as the most ambitious project in the area.
At the same time, a new footpath and drains were also inaugurated on the same day.
