1 killed, 30 injured as buses collide in Tura

SHILLONG: One person succumbed to his injuries and thirty others were injured when two buses collided with each other at Danakgre, Tura
The incident happened on June 24 around 10.20 am, when one bus (ML-08D-6355) collided head on with one city bus (ML-08A-5876) driven by Faruq Hussain, the police said.
In the incident, thirty occupants of both the buses including the driver of the city bus sustained injuries and were shifted to hospital.
Later, driver of the city bus succumbed to his injuries on the way to a hospital in Guwahati.
1 die in a road mishap
A person died on the spot, another was critically injured in a head on collision between Wagon R (AS11H-92268) and a truck (AS21-8814) at Wapungskur around 8:45 pm on Tuesday.
The residents from the village rushed to the spot to help the victims. The driver of the Wagon R was able to pull out with grievous injuries and was rushed to a hospital, however, the occupant was found dead.
