SHILLONG: Members of three pressure groups will meet on July 7 to chalk out their future course of action to oppose the railway project. In a statement to the press, the leaders of the Federation of Khasi-Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP), the Ri Bhoi Youth Federation (RBYF) and the Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) asserted that the State Government did not heed its demand to stop the railway project.
The government has remained unfazed by the pressure group’s demand to stop the project and the chief minister had refused to invite KSU members to talks saying the group should first stop violence.
