Haryana constitutes panels to carry out inspections of Child Care Institutions

Chandigarh, Jul 5 (UNI) The Haryana government today constituted inspection committees to carry out inspections of Child Care Institutions as defined under the sub section (21) of Section 2 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, in the state.
As per the notification issued by Women and Child Development department, the Member Secretary of Haryana State Child Protection Society-cum-Director, Women and Child Development department or an officer nominated by him or her would be the Chairperson of the state level inspection committee.
Other members of the committee included representative of State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, representative of the State Human Rights Commission, Director General, Health Services or his or her representative, Member of the Juvenile Justice Board in case of inspection of Observation Homes, Special Homes, place of safety or Fit facility or Member of Child Welfare Committee in case of inspection of Children Home, Open Shelters, SAA or Fit facility and Secretary, Haryana State Council for Child Welfare or his or her Representatives.
Similarly, Programme Manager, State Adoption Resource Agency would be the Member Secretary of the committee. UNI
