SHILLONG: The security arrangement for the visit of Ram Nath Kovind on Friday was unprecedented. Both NSG commandos and Meghalaya police were deployed for Kovind.
This was in sharp contrast to Meira Kumar’s visit to Shillong on Wednesday. The security was minimal and she had also addressed the media. Kovind refused to speak to the media despite repeated requests.
