SHILLONG: The FKJGP Central body, during the CEC meeting on Monday, demanded that the State Government should stop the Ronghona-Byrnihat railway project unless entry/exit points are placed along with stringent measures to check influx.
In a press statement, the FKJGP said rules should be implemented for Residential Safety and Security Act and the Benami Transaction Act.
At the same time, the FKJGP has directed its various district and circle units, especially in Ri-Bhoi to be prepared for agitation if the State Government continues its apathy over the railway issue.
Another contentious issue raised by the organisation is on uranium mining and it has demanded from the State Government to stop uranium mining in the State.
