SHILLONG: The Khasi Students’ Union held a public meeting at Sohra to create awareness on its opposition to railway projects in the State.
KSU general secretary Donald V Thabah said the State should not end up like Assam, Tripura and Sikkim in which the indigenous communities have been reduced to minorities.
He also slammed the Police department for its hounding of KSU members instead of going after those who are involved in the narcotics trade.
