SHILLONG: Legislator Sanbor Shullai has rubbished allegations levelled by two hawkers in Laban who had lodged an FIR against him.
The South Shillong MLA lodged a counter FIR against Lakhi Nongbri and Shane Thabah saying they had falsely accused him of damaging their vending trolley near Laban dispensary last Thursday. The duo had said they had permission to run business at the spot. But Shullai said the permission was for running a mobile vending trolley at Masjid Road Laban.
The MLA, in a clarification, said his image has been maligned and dragged into unprecedented controversy based solely on false allegations.
