SHILLONG: Minister of School Education and Literacy, Deborah Marak has called for the preservation of cultural heritage and tradition.
Speaking at the grand finale of the Kala Utsav Inter School Competition organised by the State Education Mission Authority on the theme ‘Living Traditions of Art’ here in the city on Wednesday, Deborah feared that though traditions and culture live at present but might disappear if not given due attention.
Giving a clarion call for maintaining cultural diversity in the face of growing globalisation, Marak said “It is important to preserve cultural heritage to upkeep integrity as human race.”
