RESUBELPARA: A village-level green campaign at Dekahang in Resubelpara concluded on Sunday.
About 200 people, including students, attended the two-day programme, organised by Belpre Baptist Churchin association with North Garo Hills police.
Speaking on the theme ‘We Need to Transform Our Environment by Various Means So That We Can Keep Our Clean Environment’, KC Momin, former director of the Soil and Water Conservation Department, said, “Our aim should be to connect man and nature.”
SP Dalton P Marak and Headquarters-DSP Nikcheng Ch Momin brought saplings of indigenous varieties which were planted by the Nokma Sordar and other guests.
“My heart’s desire is to connect people to create a green environment in North Garo Hills,” said the SP.
