2 kidnapped jewelers rescued from Jhansi

Agra : Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh police has rescued two kidnapped jewelers of Jhansi after a brief encounter in the Taj City here last night.
Police today said jewelers Rajendra Kumar Agarwal (Raj Kamarya) and Rahul Agarwal were kidnapped from Jhansi on July 12 and criminals demanded Rs 30 crore as ransom. Last night, the STF got the information about their whereabouts and the jewelers were recovered from a flat in Nikhil Woodland apartment under Sikendra police station area. Surprisingly, none of the kidnappers could be arrested and they fled away.
However, some said the criminals left the victims after getting the ransom money.
Meanwhile, the STF was yet to rescue kidnapped industrialist Sanjeev Gupta, who was abducted from Ferozabad on Saturday.
Police said the tracking of the industrialist found his presence in Kashmir.
However, some reports added that the industrialist could be on run as he has to pay money to some of his friends. But family of the industrialists claims that the kidnappers have demanded Rs 100 crore as ransom. UNI
