SHILLONG: Together with the rest of the country, Independence Day will be celebrated in all the districts, sub-divisions and administrative units of Meghalaya.

Dignitaries to hoist the National Flag and take the salute include the Chief Minister, Dr Mukul Sangma at Shillong, Roshan Warjri at Nongstoin, Dr D D Lapang at Nongpoh, Prof  R C Laloo at Jowai, Deborah C. Marak at Tura,  Clement Marak at Williamnagar, Dr Celestine Lyngdoh at Baghmara, S C Marak at Resubelpara, A T Mondal at Mawkyrwat,  H D R Lyngdoh at Ampati, R V Lyngdoh at Khliehriat, Robinus Syngkon at Mairang, Dr M Ampareen Lyngdoh at Sohra, Stephanson Mukhim at Amlarem, Zenith M Sangma at Dadenggiri,  Hopeful Bamon at Patharkhmah, Kennedy C. Khyriem at Mawshynrut, Comingone Ymbon at Shangpung Elaka, M M Danggo at Ranikor, Cherak W Momin at Chokpot,  Limison D. Sangma at Raksamgre and David Nongrum at Pynursla, a government communique says.
