SHILLONG: The Christian community in the state has expressed different opinions in regard to attending a meeting called by the BJP.
A section of the community told reporters on condition of anonymity that the Church did not want to be involved in politics but individuals could attend but not as Church representatives. Another Christian organisation said it would attend as it wanted to hear what the BJP had to say.
Basu Chakraborty, state BJP spokesperson, stated that all religious leaders were invited to the meeting and five to six groups were interested to attend.
