TURA: The ongoing Freedom Fest will culminate with the finals of the under -15 Bhaichung Bhutia Champions Cup and Freedom Challenge Cup here on Tuesday.
Boca Juniors will clash against Chandmary FC in the final of the under-15 Bhaichung Bhutia Champions Cup on Tuesday.
Football legend Bhaichung Bhutia will witness the event and announce the grand launch of Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools – a William Initiative, an academy that aims to foster football talent in Garo Hills. 16 teams took part in the Bhaichung Bhutia Champions Cup while 22 teams participated in the nine-a-side matches of the Freedom Challenge Cup.
The festival was organised with an aim to propagate the spirit of freedom on the occasion of the country’s 70th Independence Day celebrations.
Meanwhile, Young Stars United and Chandmary FC will play the final match of under-12 futsal on Monday.
