One held with drugs
One Manoj Biswa (25) was arrested from near botanical garden while he was selling drugs. During search, a small quantity was found from inside his tourist taxi by the special party of Sadar Police Station. This is the second seizure within three days.

Stolen
On August 23, one Joseph Nongspung (21) stole fifteen litres of mustard oil from the go-down of Forewell Warjri of Mawlai Mawkynroh. On August 22, unknown miscreants stole a bag containing a cell-phone, EPIC, Aadhaar card, Driving License belonging to M Kham Lum Thang Zou from St. Edmunds’ College. Gautam Saha lodged a complaint that on August 21, unknown miscreants stole one vehicle (AS-18C-7815) from near Potamati Bazar in WGH.

Injured
On August 22, Aibor Kharsati, spare driver of a truck driven by Wanbhabok Tapang sustained injuries after he slipped and fell down while he was trying to board the moving vehicle. Kharsati was taken to Civil Hospital Nongpoh and was later shifted to Shillong for treatment. The matter is under enquiry.

flee
On August 22, the police and magistrate detected some labourers while they were extracting coal near Umpleng, EJH. On seeing the police, the labourers fled away. Police recovered sixty gelatin sticks and seven detonators from the place.

Threatened
A woman lodged a complaint that on August 14, her husband Lakingson Wan assaulted her and her eight-year-old son and also threatened them with dire consequences.
