JOWAI: One of the complainants who were cheated by BJP member from Jowai Smen Kyndait has requested the Law Department to take stern action against the government pleader, Kerlang Ksoo, of East Jaintia Hills for helping the defense lawyer to move bail petition.
“I demand for his denotification and also request the Law Department to take stern action against the government pleader posted at the Court of the Deputy Commissioner (Judicial), Khliehriat,” complainant Augustine Kyndait stated in a release here. Kyndait was arrested on August 9 under Section 420 and applied for bail on August 22 in the court of the additional deputy commissioner (J), East Jaintia Hills. However, Ksoo and the defense lawyer, Reading War, filed a bail petition on behalf of the accused. “This is professional misconduct and illegal act which is beyond the spirit of judicial practices in India,” Kyndait said and added that the Law Department should remove Ksoo from his post.
