Illegal timber seized in Garo Hills

TURA: West Garo Hills police have successfully intercepted a group of timber smugglers forcing them to abandon their consignment and flee on Friday night.

Based on intelligence inputs about movement of illegal timber, police teams laid a trap on Friday night in the Jengjal area around 9 PM.
They intercepted a group of timber smugglers attempting to move illegal timber from Bolbokgre village reserve of Jengjal police station.
While the smugglers managed to escape, police were able to seize Timber worth 12 number of sal logs.
