Harassment to Aadhaar applicants

SHILLONG: Several complaints have emerged from the applicants of Aadhaar in Laban that the Headman’s signature in application form is required for registration to avail the cards.
However, no such requirement is mentioned in the Aadhaar forms.
When contacted, the East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner P S Dkhar said that he will cross check what is going in Laban.
