SHILLONG: As many as eight firms are set to participate in the technical and financial bids for the construction of the new Assembly building.
Assembly speaker AT Mondal said on Friday that in the pre-bid presentation held on August 31, eight national firms had participated and they have been asked to participate in the tender process, time for which has been extended till September 22.
The extension of time was after the firms had sought 15 more days for the submission of the tender.
Mondal, however, said that those firms who had not participated in the pre-tender process could also apply for both technical and financial bids.
The new Assembly, which is to be constructed at a cost of over Rs 100 crore, will come up at Mawdiangdiang.
