Police may quiz Tura MP in connection with call centre scam

SHILLONG:  As more people have been  arrested in the massive call centre scam  in the city, Shillong Police at a later stages would question Tura MP Conrad Sangma as to how the fraudulent call centre was established at his premises.

Speaking to The Shillong Times, East Khasi Hills SP, Davis Marak, said that police would question Tura MP at a later stage but before that police would have to establish as how the Call Centre was established in his  premises or compound.

“Before we do that, we are linking the loose ends and we will question him (Conrad Sangma ) as and when required,” Marak said.

Few days back, police arrested two more people hailing from Jaintia Hills for their involvement in the scam

The two arrested persons have been identified as  Dawanemi Lyngdoh, 23, of Ladmuthlong-Lumbyrdi and Minot Khongkai, 25, of Amlarem-Padu in West Jaiñtia Hills district.
