TURA: A jungle path that was previously used by militants and criminal gangs to kidnap civilians in the Dalu region of West Garo Hills has been converted into a footpath to be used by villagers to deter militancy. The entire stretch was constructed under the MGNREGS scheme in Dalu. The footpath has been named “Steps of Wisdom” and all along the path are placards inscribed with preaching from the Bible.
