SHILLONG: The city police will write to Facebook to trace the social media user who uploaded a malicious post in connection with the Marvelene’s Inn case.
East Khasi Hills SP Davis Marak said the person who posted the message appears to be a “freak user” because the account and the post have disappeared from the social networking website.
“We are taking up the case with Facebook and we will try to find out who is behind the post and whether there was a personal vendetta in uploading such malicious post or it was a fact,” Marak said.
The post in Khasi by one Phiba Sharai also called as Rina was on the Facebook site ‘Thad Madan’. The lady claimed that Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh’s son Nathaniel Osbert Rymmai was the father of her child. She also mentioned the names of a doctor and a teacher of a city-based school.
Following the post, Shillong police received three FIRs and a case has been registered.
