Youth fest focuses on better family

SHILLONG: Sacred Heart Theological College (SHTC) Mawlai organised its annual Youth Fest on the theme ‘Better Youth for Better Family’ on Sunday.
The event was inaugurated by chief guest Marianus Minj, Deputy Inspector General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Siile Antony, director Human Resource Development (HRD) North Eastern Council (NEC) was the chief guest for the cultural programme held in the afternoon.
“ Youth needs to be educated and they should increase knowledge power. Never give a room for negative thought which will ruin your life but have a proper planning and take a right path to make a better family,” said Minj during his inaugural speech.
Jose Chunkapura, the Vice Rector and Vice President of SHTC said that the youths face many challenges in life, and there is a need to strengthen family where love, care and forgiveness, play a major role. Besides, the guidance for youth is the most, to make a better tomorrow, he added.
