SHILLONG: In a bid to strengthen the United Democratic Party-Hill State People’s Democratic Party (UDP-HSPDP) alliance at Mawphlang constituency, a co-ordination committee of HSPDP-UDP was formed for Mawphlang constituency.
In a press statement, the media cell of the HSPDP stated that the committee was formed to strengthen the alliance and to ensure victory in the constituency in the run up to the ensuing 2018 Assembly elections.
The alliance has elected Kester Warjri as President of the committee, P R Kharshiing as General Secretary besides 52 other members from the constituency.
Pynshai Manik Syiem will contest on HSPDP ticket from Mawphlang.
