Kick-boxing gold medallist commits suicide

SHILLONG: A kick-boxing gold medallist from the state committed suicide at Chikkabanawara in Bengaluru on Sunday night.
The teenager from Mairang, Savio Diengdoh, jumped in front of a train on Sunday night. His body was found around 2am on Monday, police said.
Diengdoh won gold at the national kick-boxing championship in Kolkata in 2015.
The police suspect that Diengdoh took his life after problems with his girlfriend. His body will be brought home on Tuesday afternoon.
