Pynursla UDP circle for Suting as candidate

SHILLONG: United Democratic Party circle from 81 units under Pynursla circle has unanimously decided to recommend Nehru Suting, Director of Industries who applied for voluntary retirement as the party candidate from Pynursla constituency to contest the Assembly elections next year.
The meeting of presidents and secretaries of UDP circle held on Thursday at Pynursla was chaired by Banari Khongwar, president of UDP Pynursla circle in the presence of Titosstarwell Chyne, MLA, and Teinwell Dkhar, MDC.
The final decision will be taken at the district and state level to declare the candidate officially. Khongwar has appealed to all UDP supporters to support the party candidate in the last election.
Besides Suting, another aspiring candidate who had applied for the party ticket, KK Dkhar informed the president that he was unable to attend the meeting.
It was after thorough discussion that the meeting unanimously decided to recommend Suting, who was present at the meeting to be the party candidate from the constituency.
The UDP had recently released its first list of candidates numbering 28 while the second list is likely to be released this month.
Its alliance partner, the Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) has released the names of 13 candidates so far as announced in the first and second list.
