Accident
A Tata Sumo (ML-04B-3193) driven by Smor Pyngrope collided with one Swift D’zire car (ML-05K-2793) driven by Also Deb at Laitryngew in East Khasi Hills on Tuesday at around 12.30 pm. Eight persons sustained injuries and four were moved to CHC Sohra and the other four were shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong. The matter is under enquiry.
In another incident, one Maruti Alto 800 car (ML-05P-0539) driven by Lakstone Marbaniang (43) collided with one bus (ML-06-2674) at Kreit village (EKH) on Tuesday at around 12 pm. Marbaniang and one occupant sustained injuries and were shifted to PHC from where the driver was referred to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On Tuesday evening, one motorcycle (ML-14-0752) ridden by Tribirth M Sangma (25) collided with one Maruti car (number not known) driven by Salgra M Sangma (32) at Taktaki Village Junction (SWGH). Triberth Sangma and one pillion rider sustained injuries and was later referred to Civil Hospital Tura.
One dies in Mawngap
One Jeep (ML-05-6333) driven by Dinos Lymba (27) knocked down a pedestrian, Likshon Ryndong (38) at Mylliembah village under Mawngap PS (EKH) on Thursday. Ryndong sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong, where he succumbed to his injuries
Assault
Sunshine Nongbri (32) was assaulted by miscreants at Iewduh on Tuesday at around 3 pm. Nongbri sustained injuries and was admitted at Civil Hospital Shillong.
Theft
Kimberline R Marak, principal Ampati Government Higher Secondary School lodged a complaint that on October 3, it was detected that one computer monitor, CPU, keyboard, etc, were stolen by miscreants from the school premises. The matter is under enquiry.
Break-in
Miscreants broke into the house of Lalzomuana at Lumshngain Rynjah and stole one laptop computer and one cell-phone on Monday between 11.15 am and 8.30 pm.
Batskhemlang Kharsyntiew lodged a complaint that on October 3, between 10.30 am and 4 pm, miscreant(s) broke into his residence at Pohkseh West-I, Shillong and stole one laptop.
Tresspassing
DL Rymbui, Chairman, Moolamylliang Bio-Diversity Management Committee (MBDMC) lodged a complaint that on October 2 , one Lamowel Huwa and his wife Pretty Malang encroached into the land belonging to the village authority and illegally cut-down seven green trees which were planted by MBDMC. When the villagers intervened, they were threatened with dire consequences.
