Girl abducted
A woman lodged a complaint that on August 7 around 2 am, Subol Das abducted her daughter (16) from her residence at Rajabala, West Garo Hills.
Land grab
A woman identified as Jubina Sutnga lodged a complaint that Graham Lyngdoh and Bud Chyrmang forcibly claimed possession of her land at Wahtnat, Lumbri under Sakhain, Moolimen village in East Jaintia Hills, and also threatened her with dire consequences.
Three injured in separate accidents
On October 7 around 3.15 am, one scooty (ML-05N-2225) ridden by Beban Bareh (22) dashed against a roadside wall near 4th Furlong, Polo. The pillion rider sustained injuries.
A scooty knocked down one pedestrian, Iarapborlang Lamin (22) at Mylliembah, 12th Mile on October 6 evening. The injured was admitted to CH Shillong.
On October 5 around 9 pm, a local taxi (ML-05E-8214) driven by Mohit Chettri dashed against the shutter of a shop at Lukier Road, Shillong. The injured was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
Three coal-laden trucks detained
On October 5 around 9.30 am, Magistrate and police of East Jaintia Hills seized three trucks while transporting coal in violation to NGT ban. They conducted checking at Arkilo village and detained two trucks, one without registration number and another with registration number AS-01CC-9450. However, later, they also detained a truck (ML-05G-6980), while transporting coal.
Motorcycles stolen
On October 5 evening, miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08E-8821) belonging to Rakseng Arengh from Kawahagra, South West Garo Hills.
In another incident, on October 3 around 3.30 pm, miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08E-9519) belonging to Sengrak Ch Marak from Rongmali in WGH.
Man assaulted
Pijush Das lodged a complaint that on October 3 around 11.50 pm, four miscreants in inebriated condition, Gabriel Massar (20), Khrawkupar Bamon (27), Lamborshai Mawlein (29) and Nelson Thabah (22), assaulted him and poured alcohol on him near Hindu Mission, Lower Mawprem.
