TURA: Leaders of the All Garo Hills SSA School Teachers’ Association (AGHSSASTA) recently met Tura MP Conrad Sangma where various issues relating to SSA teachers of the state were raised.
As per the statement issued by the association, the issue of poor internet access in the region due to which teachers are unable to follow up with the timeline programme given by NIOS for D.El.Ed was raised wherein an assurance was given that the matter would be taken up with MHRD to seek for a solution.
On the irregularity of teachers’ salary and pending arrears, Conrad is said to have stated that there was no question of SSA funds running short as the central government is sending the required and estimated amount in time for every financial year.
Conrad also promised to take the matter of service regularization of SSA teachers to the Parliament, the statement added.
