SHILLONG: People’s Democratic Front MDC B. Lyngdoh has said that the office building of the Legislative Secretariat is almost complete with only finishing touches to be done.
Replying to a query by HSPDP MDC Teilinia Thangkhiew, Lyngdoh said the Legislative Secretariat would be shifted to the new building.
Congress MDC PT Sawkmie pointed out that the old session hall was utilised by a certain department with an officer seated on the chair of the Chairman, to which he was informed that it was the trade department.
In this connection, KHADC CEM PN Syiem admitted that the District Council was short of rooms.
He stated that the executive committee would look into what needed to be done with the old building that housed the session hall.
