‘We’re not team B of Congress’

SHILLONG: United Democratic Party (UDP) member Bindo M. Lanong has asserted that the regional party is not a team B player of the Congress and the party has not appointed anyone to be its assessor.
Reacting to a statement of BJP state president Shibun Lyngdoh, who said “the people of the state would like to know from Bindo M Lanong, a team B player of the Congress, as to why he is not questioning the Congress,” Lanong replied, “We are not team A, B or C of anyone.”
“Since when has he become the assessor of the UDP? Nobody is the assessor of the UDP.
What he said is absurd…coming from a desperate mind,” he said.
Lanong maintained that the party is inclusive of its own and stated, “It will be good for him to mind his own business.”
