NONGPOH: On patrolling the forest Reserve located at Ri Bhoi District, the forest guard of Nongpoh Territorial on Wednesday nabbed three villagers while they were stealing forest timbers from the Reserve Forest located at Umling village under Nongpoh Police Station.
During their patrolling, they managed to nab three miscreants and one managed to escape while stealing the forest timber.
Based on specific input, the miscreants were nabbed while they were cutting trees and several timbers were also seized from their possession, the forester E Makhroh informed.
He also added that patrolling was conducted on the suspicious of theft cases in the Reserve Forest as several trees were stolen by the miscreants.
He further stated that the Forest Territorial Nongpoh had drawn the offence against the miscreants who were involved in the theft case.
The miscreants have been identified as Marcus Diengdoh (27), Joshuwa Tangsang (23), Teibor Syngkli (37) and the one who managed to escaped have been identified as Doria Nongrum. They are all local residents of Umling village.
