PDS supply
The DC (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong has informed that whole-meal atta (Tide Over) for the month of October, is being distributed through the Fair Price Shops at the scale of 1 kg 920 grams and at the rate of Rs. 8 per kg. However, any non-supply or overcharging of the rate by the suppliers may be brought to the notice of the DC alongwith details. 

 
Convocation
The 20th ISTE Students’ National Convention will be hosted jointly by Regional Institute of Science & Technology (RIST) and University of Science & Technology Meghalaya on the RIST campus at Techno City on Saturday and Sunday.

IGNOU
The Regional Director of IGNOU has informed that the last workshop for B.ED (old course) students will be held at IGNOU Programme Study Centre, PGT College, Shillong at 12:30 pm on November 4.
General meet
The Seng Nongjri will hold its 54th general meeting cum social meet at Jaiaw Shyiap Lumpyllon Community Hall at 1 pm on Saturday. On this occasion, meritorious students will also be awarded.

Wildlife Week
The Department of Forest and Environment will organise a rally on October 31 as a concluding event to this year’s Wildlife Week celebration which will be followed by a valedictory function at All Saint’s Hall, from 11 am.

Reformation
The celebration of 500th year of Reformation arranged by the general assembly of the Presbyterian church of India which will be hosted by the Mawkhar Presbyterian Church from Friday to Sunday.

Peace fest
The Laitumkhrah Presbyterian Church is organising the Festival of Peace at Polo Ground (Dalang Stadium) from Friday to Sunday. The Church has arranged spaces for parking. Vehicles can be parked around the JN Stadium. On Sunday, special arrangements have been made by the Church and vehicles coming to the gathering can be parked at the cemented parking lot which is run by the Recreational Ground Trust. No vehicles will be allowed to enter from behind the ground (Fourth Furlong) and entrance will be only from the main gate.

Health camp
Roko cancer charitable trust will organise a mega cancer health camp at Goenka Hospital in Jhalupara from 9 am to 2:30 pm on Saturday.
