Meet on civil hospital cancer wing held

SHILLONG: A meeting was held on Friday to explore the possibility of making the cancer wing of Shillong civil hospital operational.
A health official said that while the building was constructed, the government is yet to set up equipment.
“We are having consultations with private parties to make the cancer wing operational”, the official added. The construction of the Atomic Energy funded Cancer Wing at the cost of Rs 26 crore started in 2011.
