JOWAI: War Central MDC Holando Lamin might contest the upcoming Assembly elections from Amlarem constituency on Congress ticket.
The two-time Congress MDC decided to contest after the decision of former MLA Lahkmen Rymbui to contest on UDP ticket.
Rymbui is currently the president of West Jaintia Hills District Congress Committee and was expected to be the party’s candidate. But he has decided to contest on UDP ticket. With Lamin, there will be a square fight in Amlarem between MLA Stephanson Mukim, former UDP legislator RL Tariang and former Congress MLA Lahkmen Rymbui from UDP.
